Rachel Searston

RachelSRachel Searston is a PhD student in Jason Tangen’s lab at The University of Queensland. Her research looks at how fingerprint experts develop their expertise in distinguishing between prints, and aims to establish the most efficient way to train visual expertise. She is interested in studying how people learn the visual structures of a complex category––a particular style of art, the look of a person’s fingerprints––that permit the identification of new members.
